This In-house built Test Station is part of test equipment of a MEMS Research Lab. It consists of a
dividing head with its rotational axis horizontal. The accelrometer chip under development is mounted
on the face of the dividing head, with accelerometer input axis perpendicular to the rotational axis. A motor can rotate
the dividing head in steps of a few arc seconds; thus, applying only a fractional component of gravity to
the accelerometer input.
A PC is used for driving the dividing head, and recording the accelerometer output for modelling and calibration.
(The PC has Data acquisition Card, Dividing Head with Stepper Motor Controller.)
