SYSTEM DEFINED

A cluster of various sensors packaged as an ordered assembly along with related electronics to provide application specific measured data.

EXAMPLES

Waddan produces a wide spectrum of low power and low cost systems employing the sensors presented in SENSOR HOME. Some examples of these systems are as follows:

TSPIGII

SysIntro1

The above figure shows the block diagram of a system called TSPIGII. The entire system is madeup of three PCBs. The IMU board block contains triads of gyro and accelerometer sensors. They provide orthogonal components of body rate and acceleration data at 100 Hz. The system also incorporates a commercial GPS single chip receiver. A Kalman filter combines the data from these sub-units, and provides optimal estimates of position, velocity, heading orientation, time etc. More on TSPIGII >

ANDAS

SysIntro2

The system shown above employs a number of thin microminiature sensor assemblies (MSA) and a USB Host module. The MSAs are cemented for test measurements at several key locations nodes) on the structure under test. When prompted by the USB Host, they collect the measurement data, and transmit it to the Host. An MSA incorporates an integrated sensor (capable of measuring acceleration, pressure, temperature and surface strains), a microcontroller, a ZigBee transceiver and a battery for power. The Host module also incorporates a microcontroller and a ZigBee transceiver. More on ANDAS >
